The Institute of Science, Mumbai, formerly known as the Royal Institute of Science was established in 1920 by the Royal Charter. The Institute is located in the Central Business District of Mumbai opposite Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Museum. The building is a heritage site, illuminated during night.
